I had a spring break on my garage door, so after doing a google search I found Precision who I had seen commercials for. I filled out the online BOOK NOW form and was surprised that I could get someone out on the same day between 4-6. The tech was actually a half hour early. Online it shows the replacement spring starts @ $88 and goes up depending on the size. It also talks about having to replace both springs if one had broke, which I can understand. The first estimate the tech shows me after he looked over my garage door was over $1200.00 and that was to replace most parts of the spring assembly. Needless to say I said NO. He then came up with a second estimate and this one was almost $900 replacing just some of these parts. Finally after I said NO again, he came back with a price of roughly $400. IF he would have started with that one first, I MIGHT have said do it, but since he shot for the moon replacing everything but the kitchen sink I told him I would take care of it myself. So if you don't mind bait and switch go ahead and give them a call. I looked on Amazon and I can buy a PAIR of springs for $75 - $200. Hope this review helps someone else.

When given 3 prices for garage door repair, ranging from $800 to over $2,000 and coming back with half the lowest price after I needed to consult family I chose not to do business with this company. If you can’t be transparent up front then it’s an insult to be treated like this.

Called to have the spring replaced on my garage door. My springs are 2 inch. Was told they only sell 1.75 inch???? Thry wanted to update both of my springs to 1.75. Would not just replace just the broken one. Wanted additional $180.00 to replace the unbroken sping??? I passed on the repair. Called other local door repair shops and they sell 2 inch springs. Amazon is loaded with 2 inch springs.

Dishonest. Pushy. Recommended things we didn’t need. Wanted over $2500 to fix everything. Told me it wasn’t possible to reset the code on the opener attached to the garage. Outright lie. Another garage door company fixed our problem for $200.

Horrible experience was told it would be a free diagnostic and he tried charging me 200 for a repair I didn't ask him to complete. Then he had the nerve to be rude and argue with me. Worst experience don't use this company they will scam you. His literal words were I have to make my money somehow.

If you want to get ripped off by the worst company call them they quote me 780 to fix my garage door I call a great guy on CL and he did it for 350. This company wants to change parts that you don’t need or want to charge you extra. Literally scammers.

Representative from Precision came out, he was very nice. He took several pictures & quoted me $1300.00 to fix my garage door. Told him I couldn't afford that... And he left. Before he left, I asked if Precision was associated with AHS (American Home Shield) He said no. I called AHS, and they sent me a representative from a competitor. After his assessment, he told me my Garage door wasn't broke at all, and that "something" just came loose. The gentleman did the quick fix with the materials that were still attached to the door, greased & lubricated everything and left. (no charge)

If I could give the technician negative stars I would. Came in with an attitude right from the start. We informed him that one of the garage door springs had broken. Tech asked if we wanted a basic check on our system. After his 2 seconds of looking around, he stated we had bolts coming loose, about to shear off. Our bearings were bad because of the black on some parts. Tech did not take a picture of the bad bearings until I tried to see what he was referring to. Most repair people will take pictures of the problem & show you. Tech gave us outrageous pricing & payment plans before he even showed us the issue. I informed tech we would need to check into that & at this time we only wanted to replace the 1 broken spring. Tech stated if I only wanted 1 spring replaced, I needed to find another company! He will only replace 2 not 1. With a major attitude. After that, I was not letting him do any work at our house. Asked if there would be a service call fee for the visit and your tech said no I wouldn't to make you angrier than you already are. I was applied by his behavior. This is not how you act when you come into someone's home to make repairs. Your company was referred to us by other friends that have had repairs done. Just absolutely shocked at the behavior of your tech. Bad way to do business this does not even reflect what you say in your tv commercials.

Ryan was nice however I am very unsatisfied with the product. Ryans assessment after a few button presses was the garage door keypad was no more than 5 years old and already inoperable to the point of needing a replacement. I feel this is unacceptable for such an expensive keypad and garage door system. Cory

Changed springs very unhappy now none of our openers hand held or auto opener will work. I would expect better. Now will have to have someone come fix openers

Definately over priced service and over charged. I was charged $60 for $20 bearings. I had 3 installed, do the math. I understand some mark up as appropriate, but 300%?? Only greed and theft, can justify that.
