I had a spring break on my garage door, so after doing a google search I found Precision who I had seen commercials for. I filled out the online BOOK NOW form and was surprised that I could get someone out on the same day between 4-6. The tech was actually a half hour early. Online it shows the replacement spring starts @ $88 and goes up depending on the size. It also talks about having to replace both springs if one had broke, which I can understand. The first estimate the tech shows me after he looked over my garage door was over $1200.00 and that was to replace most parts of the spring assembly. Needless to say I said NO. He then came up with a second estimate and this one was almost $900 replacing just some of these parts. Finally after I said NO again, he came back with a price of roughly $400. IF he would have started with that one first, I MIGHT have said do it, but since he shot for the moon replacing everything but the kitchen sink I told him I would take care of it myself. So if you don't mind bait and switch go ahead and give them a call. I looked on Amazon and I can buy a PAIR of springs for $75 - $200. Hope this review helps someone else.

When given 3 prices for garage door repair, ranging from $800 to over $2,000 and coming back with half the lowest price after I needed to consult family I chose not to do business with this company. If you can’t be transparent up front then it’s an insult to be treated like this.

The guys did a great job. Prompt service. I thought I have one broken spring, but then noticed after they got here, both were broken. They did a pre work inspection (on the 23 year old door and 8 year old opener) and found the bearings were bad on the rollers and the bottom brackets were severely corroded. We ended up wanting everything replaced and they did the work in less than an hour for a reasonable price.

I had a 20+ year old garage door opener that quit working, and it was evident I needed to replace it. I first called "Brand X" which touted 24/7 service, and while a service person did come out, I was advised that the office would call me that afternoon with an estimate and to schedule replacement. After four days I finally got a call back but told "Brand X" to forget it as out of frustration I had just called Precision and scheduled to them come out. In addition to confirming that I needed to replace the opener, I was astonished that they had everything they needed to begin work immediately. I was so impressed that although the identical opener on the other garage door was working fine, I had them replace it as well instead of waiting for it to fail. Our lead tech Kyle and his assistant were very organized and efficient, with removing the old units and installing both new units taking only about 2 hours. Very, very pleased. Thank you!

Their names were Kyle and Mason. We needed a repair and the quote was completely honest and in asking additional questions, we decided to just replace the entire system. The care in explaining the quote, the equipment, the difference in price when we decided it would be best to replace everything and the warranty was fantastic. Kyle Muyskens and Precision turned what was a bad day into a great one by quickly responding when our garage door broke down. First, I want to say that setting up the appointment with customer service and with such a quick response was great. The issue was the tech, Kyle. We got quoted a certain price to replace the garage tension springs. Then when he looked at everything, he tried talking us into hundreds of dollars more to fix this and that. My husband usually repairs everything in our home and vehicles as he is very mechanically inclined. However, the places we looked would have one part or the other, with a month wait to order the other part we needed, which is why we scheduled this appointment. When we told Kyle we we not interested, his words were "I'm not trying to upset you and there's no reason to be upset with me". All we said was that we only wanted done what we got quoted for; nothing extra. My husband looked up the other parts and we will get them for a fraction of the price that Kyle quoted, if we even to repair all the other things he said. Also, after declining all the extras, Kyle was huffing and puffing the entire time he worked on the garage door. Sorry, but when we're quoted for $360 and he tried telling us we need to spend $1200, we had good reason to decline. So to the tech that we let into our home, don't try telling us what we need to do with our property, and then get pissed off and pout the whole time you're doing your job. Not cool.
