on Sunday I called to set up a apointment for Monday. I was told there was a tech in our neighborhood and if I wanted he could stop by today and no additional cost.I was given a time frame of 2-4 and the tech arrived at 1.The tech looked at my door and explained the 25 yr old motor was on its last leg. He gave me a estimate that was acceptable and a good value.Within two hours the job was done and all was explained. My garage door arm from the door to the track broke off. It was 24 years old. Unfortunately parts no longer available. Grant Sagan had a new opener installed and all remotes programed and ready to go less than than an hour later. On a Sunday morning no less in freezing temps. Jordan with Precision exceeded my expectations. The tension spring broke around 8:00 AM, I called Precision for a service call and they were able to complete the repair before noon. Jordan inspected the garage door and all the mechanical parts and provided different estimates for repairs, absolutely no pressure. I recently moved to Bondurant in June 2025. One of my garage door springs broke on this past Sunday. On Monday I googled garage door repairs near me and 2 companies popped up, one being Precision. I reviewed the website, made a call/text and scheduled an appointment today (2/17/2026). The Technician Caiden was very professional, knowledgeable and explained the repair process and provided me a couple different quotes for me to choose from. No Pressure just being upfront!! First, I want to say that setting up the appointment with customer service and with such a quick response was great. The issue was the tech, Kyle. We got quoted a certain price to replace the garage tension springs. Then when he looked at everything, he tried talking us into hundreds of dollars more to fix this and that. My husband usually repairs everything in our home and vehicles as he is very mechanically inclined. However, the places we looked would have one part or the other, with a month wait to order the other part we needed, which is why we scheduled this appointment. When we told Kyle we we not interested, his words were "I'm not trying to upset you and there's no reason to be upset with me". All we said was that we only wanted done what we got quoted for; nothing extra. My husband looked up the other parts and we will get them for a fraction of the price that Kyle quoted, if we even to repair all the other things he said. Also, after declining all the extras, Kyle was huffing and puffing the entire time he worked on the garage door. Sorry, but when we're quoted for $360 and he tried telling us we need to spend $1200, we had good reason to decline. So to the tech that we let into our home, don't try telling us what we need to do with our property, and then get pissed off and pout the whole time you're doing your job. Not cool.
