Our garage door spring broke on Tuesday evening. In the morning my wife and I had to manually raise the door to get the car out and get the kids to school. Around 8AM I called and was told to expect a technician between 10am and noon. By noon Kyle Muyskens had arrived! He quickly determined the appropriate fix and we discussed the options. I asked him several times if he would need to go get parts (we live far out in the country), since this would have added significant time to the repair. I was glad to hear that he had all of the materials with him to fix the spring, shaft, cables, and rollers! Within and hour or two the door was up and running like new! This is the second time I've used Precision Doors and once again I am totally satisfied! I called today and they were able to fit me in the same day. They gave me a short window so I didn't have to wait around all day. Love that they send me a text letting me know the tech is on the way, their name, and even a little about them. My tech was Grant S. Because of the text I was able to greet him by name and know who to look for. I explained the problem to Grant as he listened and asked me questions. He looked up my service history to make sure it wasn't something from a previous service call. He looked over the situation and gave me a quote as requested. A neighbor recommended them and I received a coupon packet in the mail and one of them was for Precision. Technician was very informative and willing to work with me. I appreciated his input. The last time I gave a rating for someone I got a response of "why didn't you rate them 5 stars if they did what you wanted". Well, I never give anyone 5 stars until I've worked with them for a while and nothing goes wrong. As far as I am concerned they were doing their job. Although I have only opened and closed my two garage doors a few times since Grant finished replacing all the rollers, springs, and safety lines, his diligent and expert work has resulted in a quiet, smooth operation of our very old garage doors on a very old track. In fact Grant found a tag identifying the doors and track as having been manufactured in 1936 by Overhead Door Company, which must be correct as my house was built in 1937 and 1938. My kudos to Precision Door Service for restoring the mechanical operations of our almost ancient garage doors to work perfectly with our modern garage door openers!
