Eric Taylor's Bio:
Eric has been with Precision Garage Door since 2002. Originally from Detroit Michigan, Eric moved to Clearwater Florida in late 2001. In 2002 he was hired as an installer/technician and began his career with Precision Garage Door. In 2006 he was promoted to Technician Supervisor and in 2007 he was promoted to Operations Manager. After earning his Florida State Certified Builder Contractor license he was promoted to General Manger, overseeing the entire operations of the largest Precision Garage Door location in the United States. Eric recently came to Des Moines to provide the same excellent customer service and garage door repair and replacement that he offered in Clearwater Florida and the Greater Tampa Bay area. In his spare time, Eric enjoys spending quality time with his wife of 11 years, and stays busy raising his two daughters 7 and 5 years old. If time permits, you may see him fishing a local area, or sitting in a tree stand waiting on a buck of a lifetime here in Iowa. He also is an active member of his church, helping out with repairs around the grounds and community outreach programs.

Garage door cable broke. Eric came out and evaluated the door and gave me three options to remedy the door. One to get it fully safe operational capacity, Second, to get it operational and to be able to give it a five year warranty. Or finally the one I chose to operate and stabilize with a 7 year warranty. The price on all three were very reasonable and did not try to overstate the performance and buy a new door. Fixed with third option and all problems of the door were alleviated including the poor seal on the bottom of the door. Great job.

I chose Precision for my garage door because I saw an ad on TV. We called Tuesday afternoon and Eric was here Wednesday morning. He called 30 minutes before he came. He was friendly, efficient, and explained the problem. We needed another bolt on the metal part that holds the garage door to the opener. He sprayed everything, checked the spring, and gave us a thorough checkup. I would highly recommend Precision for all garage door needs.

Definately over priced service and over charged. I was charged $60 for $20 bearings. I had 3 installed, do the math. I understand some mark up as appropriate, but 300%?? Only greed and theft, can justify that.

Eric showed up when he said he would. Assessed the problem and made an estimate and proceeded to do the install. Installed new springs / new motor / new hardware / new electric eyes / made sure the new remotes were in working order. He arrived at 09:10 & was done by11:15. I would definitely recommend this company. Quality work & reasonable prices.

I am very pleased with your company, your technician, and the services he has provided. Today's problem required a minimal fix - I had chipped away some ice that had accumulated in one corner by the sensor and must have jarred it somehow to become misaligned, and that is why the garage door would not shut. The technician didn't even charge us - even in this arctic cold weather, every call he handles has to be challenging. This same technician is the one who repaired my garage door recently and that job took a while - he was and is very professional, knows what he is doing, and is just the best. We were set up for service on Monday but got a call asking if service could be done yesterday. Eric and Mike came out to inspect our garage door, they found out the problem was simply ice formation at the base. This issue would not allow our door to operate freely as it did in the past few years. They were prompt, courteous, and there was NO CHARGE! I will not hesitate to call them again for service.
